Vital record indexes are becoming increasingly available both at the Family
History Library and on the internet. Additionally, the FHL has in its holdings
many birth, death, and marriage registers and certificates on microfilm.
Photocopies of records held by the FHL can be provided to you when you provide
your ancestor’s name, time period of the event, and the pertinent locality.
Identifying information such as birth date and place are helpful in assuring
that the correct record is obtained.
